Ingredients
4 hot dogs (regular or jumbo)
4 hot dog buns
Optional toppings: mustard, relish, chopped onions, shredded cheese, chili
Butter or olive oil (for bun toasting)
Instructions
1. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
2. Slice shallow diagonal slits in the hot dogs to prevent splitting.
3. Place hot dogs in a single layer in the basket.
4. Air fry for 5–6 minutes for regular size, or up to 8 minutes for jumbo dogs.
5. Add buns (optional) face-up during the last 1–2 minutes to toast.
6. Remove from air fryer and let rest 1–2 minutes.
7. Add your favorite toppings and serve immediately.
Notes
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; space ensures even crisping.
Jumbo or plant-based hot dogs may require slight timing adjustment.
Brush buns with butter or oil for extra golden crunch.
Leftovers can be stored and reheated in the air fryer at 375°F for 2–3 minutes.
