Ingredients

Scale

2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes (peeled and chopped)

4 tbsp unsalted butter

1/2 cup heavy cream (warm)

2 cloves garlic (minced)

Salt to taste

Freshly ground black pepper

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Place chopped Yukon Gold potatoes in a large pot, cover with cold salted water, and bring to a boil.

2. Simmer for 15–20 minutes or until fork-tender, then drain well.

3. Return potatoes to the pot, add butter, garlic, and warm cream.

4. Mash until smooth and creamy using a hand masher or mixer.

5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

6. Serve warm, topped with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Don’t overmix or the potatoes can turn gluey.

You can substitute cream with milk for a lighter version.

Roasted garlic can be used for extra depth.
